We are so proud of our ECCC coaches!!! 🏆🏆🏆 Here are only a few examples of the incredible praise for our ECCC coaches so far (it was hard to narrow down 🤪) 🌟 [ECCC cohort member] has shown a thorough understanding of the principles of coaching, but what truly sets her apart is her grasp of the art of coaching. This art involves more than just knowledge; it's about evolving into a coach over time, delving deep into one's own insecurities, and transforming those experiences into powerful tools to uplift and empower others. 🌟 In an amazing session, [ECCC cohort member] expertly slowed the pace, giving the client ample time to think and process. She did a fantastic job of validating emotions and closing the session seamlessly. 🌟 Really great to see how powerful [ECCC cohort member] is as a coach––she definitely opened up some new insights for me! 🌟 [ECCC cohort member] ****demonstrated amazing ability to open and close the session. She also followed up on her notes from the last session, holding the client accountable for their goals. This inaugural cohort has truly exceeded all possible expectations––let’s give them some well-deserved encouragement as they undergo their performance evaluations 👏 Y’all got this!! The Embrace Change Coaching Certification Cohort! 🚨 Trending Blog Post Alert 🚨 One of our blog posts is trending on our website and while it's not surprising, it’s still shocking if you really think about it. In this particular post, The “Glass Ceiling” Is A “Concrete Ceiling” For Women Of Color, I talk about the unique barriers faced by women of color in the workplace––particularly those with leadership ambitions. And I dig deep into the challenges of facing this structural "concrete ceiling" that WOC face in companies and organizations across industry. But you know me––I’m never one to point out a problem without offering solutions. And while individual solutions will never eliminate the need for structural change (not even close), it doesn’t mean we as WOC––the brilliant trailblazers we are––are powerless. Far from it. So click through the link in comments for some key strategies to make sure we don’t get blocked, left behind, and held back by the concrete ceilings we may face. Here’s a bit of a spoiler of what I get into in the trending piece 😏 💡 Building strategic relationships 💡 Increasing visibility 💡 Finding supportive communities Don't miss out on the valuable insights––read the full article linked in the comments and grab our FREE resource with 5 essential leadership tips specifically curated for WOC leaders (you can download that absolutely free via the yellow buttons in the blog post). Time to claim our seats at the table! LMK in the comments what you think of the “Concrete Ceiling” concept versus the “Glass Ceiling” that women in general face 👇 #WomenOfColor #WOCLeaders #LeadershipSkills #LeadershipAdvice #ExecutiveCoachForWOC

The workplace often isn't a promised land for WOC, and sometimes it feels more like a maze with hidden traps. Because the corporate playground wasn’t designed for us. Wage disparities? Check. Limited advancement? Double check. Being undervalued? Triple check. If I had a dollar for every time I heard about one of these struggles from one of our clients… But here’s where we can turn the tables: by forging our own networks, we craft a powerhouse of support and opportunities. Imagine a secret society (sans creepy rituals) where we lift each other up, share insider tips, and maybe spill some previously gate-kept tea! With our own networks, we’re not just passing the baton; we’re redesigning the relay race as we go. We get mentors who truly understand, advice that resonates, and connections that mean more than polite or performative LinkedIn thumbs ups. Personally, I know that my network has been an irreplaceable game-changer for me in both my legal career and now as an entrepreneur too. The way the community I’ve built has stepped in to amplify, advocate, and champion the work that we’re doing at EC? You literally cannot put a dollar figure on that. But it takes time to build this network. And it takes starting. So let’s pour some fuel on this fire and build our collective voice to drive real change in the #FutureOfWork. Together we are stronger and can put way more weight behind our efforts to assert our value. Especially in these times, we need to double down on what we might’ve thought were “basics”…Inclusion isn’t a ‘nice-to-have’, it’s as essential as oxygen. Let’s channel our inner revolutionaries into spaces where we can be unapologetically ourselves and celebrate every victory. Alone we're strong, but together we're unstoppable. And a thought in closing: maybe I’ll create a network just for us, inside and out of Embrace Change. Maybe, just maybe... it's time for us to show up in force. Whaddya think? #Networking #Network #WOCLeaders #WomenOfColor
