Emerger Strategies President, Rick Crawford just wrapped up the first Sustainability Camp! Thank you, and congratulations to all the participants! Participants achieved the following: ✅ Learned the business case for sustainability. ✅ Completed a Sustainability Assessment, and earned a sustainability score and contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. ✅ Measured their carbon footprint (Scopes 1 & 2 greenhouse gas emissions). ✅ Gained access to a Sustainability Toolkit to be used as a resource for continuous improvement. 🌎 1 on 1 Sustainability Consultation to review their Sustainability Assessment, Carbon Footprint measurement, and next steps! Session 3 of the Emerger Strategies Sustainability Boot Camp is complete! Today we learned about: ✅ greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting ✅ measured our Scopes 1 & 2 GHG emissions ✅ learned how to reduce our emissions from sustainability expert Bryan Cordell from The Sustainability Institute. We then headed over to Morrison Yard , which is a Charleston RISES certified green building through The Sustainability Institute. Thank you, Lowcountry Land Trust for permanently protecting land in coastal South Carolina, which is vital as our corner of the world faces more and more pressure every year. To date LLT has conserved 162,000 acres of land in the Lowcountry! There has recently been a plethora of studies, surveys, and findings demonstrating that regulators, consumers and B2B customers are increasingly demanding sustainability, and for good reason.
