Introducing Flow. Our design team worked to thoughtfully choreograph folding building forms into the landscape design through a series of iterations, landing on two organic structures connected gracefully by a second-floor bridge. This layout most sensitively interacts with the site, providing a sense of compression upon entry, and release into the landscape beyond. Energy 1 has such a unique culture. It’s incredible to catch a short break during the week to improve work life balance. It’s hard if not impossible to measure team building and burnout. We are fortunate to have a team that will grind hard to be able to enjoy hobbies when possible.

Thrilled to have participated in last week’s Summit! It was inspiring to see community leaders truly making a difference and driving positive change in the areas we serve. It was fantastic to run into John Cattles—he truly embodies the spirit of making a difference for all the right reasons. Be sure to check out the incredible work he’s done in Gunnison County!
Last week, over 540 mountain community leaders gathered in Jackson, WY for the Mountain Towns 2030 Climate Solutions Summit - the annual gathering of mountain communities committed to tackling climate change. Under wildfire smoky skies at the Jackson Center for the Arts, we heard from some of the world’s most esteemed climate leaders including Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Rollie Williams, david roberts, Ari Matusiak, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)'s KC Becker, Bethany Patten, James Rattling Leaf, Benjamin (Benji) Backer, Paul Moinester, Mat Woods, and many more, and held over 30 peer-led breakout sessions digging deep into the systemic climate solutions that should be part of every community’s climate action plan. Aside from the inspiration and learning, what makes the Summit so extraordinary is the collaboration amongst communities large and small - elected officials and staff, sustainability teams, ski resort leaders, businesses and nonprofits, trading best practices and ideas, helping each other tackle shared climate solutions and accelerating our collective progress. We’re all facing the same challenges and if we’re going to “get it right,” working together, modeling solutions and helping each other is the straightest and quickest path forward. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Jackson last week. We’re still buzzing and feeling like we accomplished a great deal, met a lot of amazing colleagues and new friends, and had an unforgettable time doing it. Thank you to the Town of Jackson, Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism, Stio®, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Alterra Mountain Company, Boyne Resorts, POWDR, Vail Resorts, and Zola Windows for your steadfast and generous support of the Summit and to National Ski Areas Association, Ski Area Management (SAM) Magazine and COLORADO ASSOCIATION OF SKI TOWNS for your partnership in bringing this remarkable community together in one place.
