  • This morning, several of Ensign’s leadership team hit the SMPS Utah February Education Event help at Hughes General Contractors in North Salt Lake, and let me tell you, we left feeling super inspired. Sydne Jacques @sydnejacques from Next Level Leadership brought some serious energy and dropped knowledge bombs on us about how to up our game when it comes to putting together winning proposals. She also shared some great ideas for boosting retention rates within our organization and beefing up our personal brands to exude more confidence in our business practices. And that's just scratching the surface of what SMPS Utah @SMPSutah has to offer our A/E/C industry here in our market. If you want to dive deeper into what they've got going on, head over to their Events page to scope out what's coming up next. Trust us, it's worth it! #EnsignLeadership #SMPSUtah #EducationEvent #SydneJacques #NextLevelLeadership #WinningProposals #RetentionRates #PersonalBranding #BusinessPractices #AECIndustry #Events #ProfessionalDevelopment #Networking #UtahBusiness #Inspiration

  • Ensign Engineering and Land Survey was privileged to be part of 6 projects that received Most Outstanding Project awards from Utah Construction & Design magazine for 2023. Northside Creek Ski Lakes This new residential community in Mountain Green focuses on water sports and recreation, and required some of Ensign’s most experienced civil and municipal engineering minds to design, develop, and manage construction of the three water recreation lakes that also serve as storage reservoirs. BYU Music Building Ensign’s engineers lent their expertise in specialty structural engineering and Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) design to bring a new 170,000 sf music education facility to the campus of Brigham Young University that will serve under-graduate, post-graduate music students and the community for decades into the future. Murray City Hall Ensign’s combined structural, civil, and survey teams worked together to help construct the new 85,000 Murray City Hall and surrounding site that celebrates the City’s independent identity and spirit. Orem Utah LDS Temple At 71,500 sf and 281 ft in height, Ensign’s structural engineering team met the challenge of designing the Cold-Formed Metal Framing that supports the building envelope and exterior cladding. Spanish Fork Library & Administration Bldg Ensign’s civil engineering practice was privileged to participate in bringing the growing community of Spanish Fork a new, modern library and city administrative offices. Repurposing the site that was previously occupied by a church, the site needed to accommodate the large, 2-story, 45,000 sf building that sat directly next to the existing City offices, housed in the historic Thurber School Building. St. George Utah LDS Temple Historic Renovation Participating in the restoration of the historic, 6-story building that is the first temple built by pioneer settlers was a dream project for our team. Our structural team went to work in designing part of the new structure that used Cold-Formed Metal Framing and Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC)
