  • What makes YOU great? Our mentees in Enterprise Women’s Network (EWN) girl’s mentoring program remind us that this year’s #WomensHistoryMonth theme “Women Educating and Inspiring Generations" works both ways. The girls blew us away with their affirmations on a recent visit to Sandtown-Winchester Achievement Academy with our VP of Solutions Baaba Halm. We’re so inspired by their power, sass, and earnestness. Support our work to empower young minds by donating to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair: https://bit.ly/443qGYk

  • Are you passionate about keeping affordable homes available in rural communities? Join us for the Rural Housing Preservation Academy—a free training and peer learning series designed to help acquire and preserve USDA Rural Development, HUD, and LIHTC-financed housing. https://bit.ly/4hw9bD9 📅 Date: April 23, 2025 ⏰ Time: 10:00 AM MST This session (and all future ones!) is open to everyone committed to safeguarding affordable homes in rural communities.

  • Our 2025 California Affordable Housing Pipeline report shows nearly 45,000 affordable homes are stalled due to lack of funding. https://bit.ly/41RuZDt Key takeaways: → 44,723 homes are shovel-ready but need final funding → 491,953 households could be served over the next 55 years → 70% have already secured some state funding The solution? More state & federal investment to unlock these homes and build them faster. Let’s finish the job. Californians deserve safe, stable, affordable housing. 🏠

    • A quote from Heather Hood, VP and Northern California market leader at Enterprise, about the California pipeline report. She says, “We need to unlock the development pipeline and scale funding to meet the need. Only then can we even begin to ensure every Californian has a safe and stable affordable place to call home.” Heather’s headshot accompanies the quote, and shows her, a brunette white woman in her 40s or 50s, smiling at the camera. She’s wearing gold jewelry, including earrings and a necklace, and a dark gray shirt.
  • We're celebrating our 50th LIHTC deal with CHN Housing Partners! Over 40 years, we’ve created or preserved more than 3,500 affordable homes for low-income residents, representing more than $295 million in LIHTC equity investments across Ohio. This milestone is a testament to a strong partnership and to the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, our most effective tool for creating and preserving affordable housing. https://bit.ly/4ipjFFF #AffordableHousing #LIHTC

    • Enterprise and CHN Housing Partners celebrate 50 LIHTC deals together! That means 3,500 affordable homes across Ohio, 40 years of partnership, and $295 million in LIHTC equity investments.
  • We’re honored to bid farewell to our very own Christine Madigan after 24 successful and impactful years at Enterprise. Christine not only brought technical knowledge of affordable housing financing, but equally importantly, held deep understanding and caring for the human aspect of housing. We’re thankful that she dedicated her career to our mission, and through her time with us, she has made an incredible impact with her perseverance, expertise, and remarkable ability to connect with others. She will be missed, and we wish her a happy retirement.

    • A collage of photos of Christine Madigan (an older white woman, perhaps in her 60s) throughout her 24 years at Enterprise Community Partners, including photos honoring her from her retirement party, accompanying a thank you for 24 years of service. The photos show her with various dignitaries and speaking into a microphone at different events.
  • Over the last 10 years, community groups in Puerto Rico have been vital in supporting affordable homes and resilient communities, especially in the wake of record-breaking disasters. Our new report shows how these groups have become powerful intermediaries and first responders across the island. At a time of dramatic cuts to government funding, these community-led organizations are foundational to affordability and resilience. https://lnkd.in/g4aFepeB

Today is the last day for organizations to sign on to our letter urging Congress to support Section 4 funding. Section 4 funding provides crucial support to community organizations and affordable housing providers. From 2020-2024, grantees helped create and preserve over 40,000 affordable homes across the country. We are asking Congress to fund the program at $50 million for fiscal year 2026 to ensure that it can meet the increasing needs of low-income rural, Native, suburban, and urban communities nationwide. Because Section 4 funds are matched and used to leverage additional private investment, it is expected that this funding would foster $1 billion in vital housing and community development investment. Join our advocacy efforts by adding your organization to a sign-on letter by COB today, March 21 and by sharing stories of how your community or organization has benefited from Section 4 and other technical assistance programs.

“We see the housing impact, but we also see the broader economic impact and resource development for these communities.” Rural communities are some of the hardest to get resources into. Audra Butler from Communities Unlimited in Pine Bluff, Arkansas shares the value of #Section4 funding and how it has empowered the area they serve, from increased housing stock to stimulated local economy. “[The] Section 4 funds that we've received so far were used in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. It's an area where they have really aging housing stock that needed new homes because there just weren't quality, affordable homes that were available to people who were home buyer ready or getting home buyer ready. So, we used funds to support our work with modular housing development. We have a buyer that, through our work, has become home buyer ready and is moving into their first home. She has a deep history with the organization who's helping to develop the modular homes using workforce development training, and deep connections to teaching at-risk youth about building trades and carpentry, but she's never been able to own a home. Through this funding and our support of them and our partner, she's now going to be a first-time homeowner in a home that she helped to build, and through a project she helped to launch.” — Sign the letter to join state and local organizations in urging Congress to support Section 4 funding. The quote on the graphic, from Audra Butler of Communities Unlimited in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, reads, “Section 4 funding ensures we can continue serving vulnerable populations in rural communities, where resources for affordable housing are scarce.”
  • Join Sr. Director of Programs and Performance Raven Willoughby at National Low Income Housing Coalition's 2025 Housing Policy Forum next week on March 26! She’ll be speaking about Enterprise Community Development’s impactful voter engagement efforts, and sharing insights and recommendations to register, educate, and mobilize voters in 2025 and beyond. We were proud to be a leader in utilizing NLIHC’s turbovote.org tool to engage our residents, and participate in their Our Homes, Our Votes campaign to boost voter turnout among renters with low income, and people experiencing homelessness. https://bit.ly/4ipnP0m Renters with low income are often underrepresented in off-year elections. To close the gap and advocate for policies that support the most vulnerable communities, housing and homeless organizations must prioritize nonpartisan civic engagement.

    • Raven Willoughby, Sr. Director of Programs and Services for Enterprise's Community Development division will be a panelist at National Low Income Housing Coalition's 2025 Policy Forum. • Big impact, resilient communities! 🏘️ The Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program is transforming California. Over eight funding rounds, $4 billion has been invested in 209 game-changing developments. A new report from Enterprise and the California Housing Partnership highlights how these AHSC-funded projects are doing more than just building housing—they’re connecting communities. By integrating affordable homes, transportation, and community infrastructure, they’re helping to cut greenhouse gas emissions and create sustainable, vibrant neighborhoods where people can truly thrive. https://lnkd.in/gyR-Ae-3 This is what smart, community-driven investment looks like!
