Through our half-dozen industrial programs, including the Industrial System Optimization Program and Industrial Strategic Energy Management, we’re helping industrial businesses reduce their energy usage while lowering their bills and earning incentives. Customers like Conagra Brands, Trident Seafoods and Puyallup Water Pollution Control Plant worked with PSE to become more energy efficient through simple fixes, free energy audits, customized plans and guidance, and more. “We used to run certain equipment 24 hours a day,” says Puyallup WPCP manager Dan Messier. “Now, it runs just four hours a day with no negative impact on operation. EnviroStars reached out to businesses that are currently renewing their recognition status to ask, 'what is one sustainable practice that your business is particularly proud of?' EnviroStars recognized business, Diane's Market Kitchen, had this to say: I now use VerTerra Plateware in every class and promote them as well. Using compostable plateware allows me to reduce my need for water and other resources normally associated with the dishwashing program. By using VerTerra products I am also empowering women in India to change their lives and their communities by providing them with economic independence. It is not just what we do in our community but what we do to empower other communities to change for the better. Thank you for the work you towards to a better planet and community!
