Just in: Governor Newsom vetoes Senate Bill 674. Read our statement in response to the Governor’s decision to veto Senate Majority Leader Gonzalez’ SB 674, which would have set minimum standards for all our state’s refineries to provide the same level of transparency regarding emissions. These achievements are not just statistics-- they represent real progress toward a cleaner, more equitable economy. This success was made possible by strong climate champions, including a pivotal tie-breaking vote by Vice President Kamala Harris in the Senate that ensured the Affordable Clean Energy Plan became a reality. The Affordable Clean Energy Plan is more than a policy; it’s a pathway to a better, healthier future for all.

Yesterday, the US EPA held a hearing on the Advanced Clean Fleets rule, and Gracyna M. shared powerful insights. We are urging the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to approve the Advanced Clean Fleets waiver to drive down emissions, improve public health, and provide certainty to industry, while also setting a nationwide precedent for zero-emission transportation!
