  • Just in: Governor Newsom vetoes Senate Bill 674. Read our statement in response to the Governor’s decision to veto Senate Majority Leader Gonzalez’ SB 674, which would have set minimum standards for all our state’s refineries to provide the same level of transparency regarding emissions. The Governor cited financial concerns and deference to local air quality management districts in his veto message. https://bit.ly/4cwlBsi

  • It's a BIG DAY because we're celebrating TWO years of the historic Inflation Reduction Act! In just two short years, the Affordable Clean Energy Plan has made a significant impact on our economy, environment, and the well-being of American families. This transformative initiative has: ✅ Created over 312,900 good-paying jobs, providing new opportunities for workers across the country. ✅ Saved families a collective $8.4 billion in energy costs, putting more money back into the pockets of hardworking Americans. ✅ Driven an impressive $361 billion in climate investments, fueling innovation and ensuring a more sustainable future for generations to come. These achievements are not just statistics-- they represent real progress toward a cleaner, more equitable economy. This success was made possible by strong climate champions, including a pivotal tie-breaking vote by Vice President Kamala Harris in the Senate that ensured the Affordable Clean Energy Plan became a reality. The Affordable Clean Energy Plan is more than a policy; it’s a pathway to a better, healthier future for all.

  • Yesterday, the US EPA held a hearing on the Advanced Clean Fleets rule, and Gracyna M. shared powerful insights. We are urging the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to approve the Advanced Clean Fleets waiver to drive down emissions, improve public health, and provide certainty to industry, while also setting a nationwide precedent for zero-emission transportation!

  • Our Deputy Campaigns Director, Matt Abularach-Macias, was invited as a guest speaker by KVCR (PBS & NPR) on the "Inland Edition" to talk about the economic, racial, and social injustices communities face across California (and in fenceline communities) which are further compounded by the climate crisis. The truth is our "Golden State" still depends on fossil fuels-- and Matt came on the record for KVCR to share EnviroVoters' mission to ensure those in power care about the environment, and create a cleaner future for California.
