Envision provides services to people of all ages. From providing employment, to providing a sense of community, to administering rehabilitation and training, to giving much needed resources, the goal is always the same – independence and a better quality of life. This is how Envision transforms lives. The rate of blindness and visual impairment is staged to increase at a rate that could be likened to an epidemic. Without research, education and rehabilitation, those who live with or will live with a visual impairment will not be able to maintain quality of life. Addressing these needs now is crucial. From the millions of hours of employment to the thousands of individuals who have benefited from vision rehabilitation services, Envision works to provide choices, resources and advocacy for people who are blind or low vision. Envision’s mission encompasses all departments, branches and locations under the Envision name. It touches every job and employee on a day-to-day basis, uniting us in our goals: To improve the quality of life and provide inspiration for the blind and visually impaired through employment, outreach, rehabilitation, education and research. Behind this is a simple thought: to improve others’ lives. To impact an individual or family in a positive and lasting way. This is why we exist and what drives us to succeed in our endeavors.

Our Early Child Development Center (ECDC) was recently recognized for its exceptional work in child nutrition and wellness at the Kansas State Department of Education 2024 Best Practice Awards! Stacy Fuller, our Vice President of Rehabilitation Services, and Teresa Houston, Director of our ECDC, attended the ceremony where ECDC received not one, but two prestigious awards: the Kansans CAN Impact Wellness Award and the Kansans CAN Serve Local Foods Award. Our ECDC has been a cornerstone in childcare services in the Wichita community for 14 years, and has actively participated in the Child and Adult Care Food Nutrition Program for over a decade.
