In case you missed it– Huge thanks to Envoy Medical Board Member and Investor Glen Taylor for advocating for those with hearing loss on Fox Business Network's The Claman Countdown. Glen discussed how Apple’s AirPods® Pro 2* hearing aid could complement Envoy Medical fully implanted hearing devices and mission to advance innovation in hearing devices. This innovation not only raises awareness and pushes the hearing industry forward, but could also compliment Envoy Medical’s Investigational Acclaim® Cochlear Implant. Watch the full interview: https://lnkd.in/epCyjSKf CAUTION—The Acclaim® cochlear implant is an investigational device. Limited by Federal (or United States) law to investigational use. *AirPods is a registered trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. #HearingDevice #HearingLoss #EnvoyMedical

Global Medical Device Executive | Board of Directors | Fundraising | Product Development | Global Commercialization | Reimbursement Strategy | Chief Executive Officer at Envoy Medical (Nasdaq: COCH)
Joe's story is a great example of why fully implanted hearing devices matter and should be available to more patients. Joe reports hearing his young son in a whole new way and being able to continue his career as a helicopter mechanic. We look forward to following Joe and sharing more about his individual journey. People say, "the right hearing aid for the patient is the one the patient uses," well what happens with the patient who is not getting enough from their hearing aids, leaves their hearing aids in the drawer, cannot maintain their hearing aids on their own, or finds hearing aids to be problematic for one reason or another? Are they just supposed to suck it up? Spend another few thousand dollars on a new fancy hearing aid with better marketing? Should we just shame them for wanting something different? That might be what other manufacturers want you to do for obvious reasons, but we think the most important thing to do is to meet these people where they are in their hearing loss journey and not try to force them a square peg into a round hole. There are more than 40 million people in the US with significant hearing loss -- no reasonable person should think they all ought to be treated the same way. The design of a fully implanted hearing device allows patients the freedom and safety to use their device 24/7 in more situations than they could with external devices that come off at night or in other situations that are not conducive to external devices typically made (who knows where?) of plastic. Many patients anecdotally report (like Joe) enjoying their hearing experience with our Esteem device more than they did with their hearing aids. Why? You'd have to ask one of our patients (feel free to contact us if you'd like to be connected with one). By the way, Joe was not the first patient to receive the Esteem device in Alabama. News stations can make editorial mistakes that are our of our control. We have asked them to correct this. https://lnkd.in/gq3QSG3C DISCLAIMER: The information presented or discussed is for general information purposes and may not be representative of all patient outcomes. Help support the Hearing Device Coverage Clarification Act 📣 Hearing loss is the third most common chronic condition in the U.S., yet access to innovative hearing solutions remains limited due to outdated insurance coverage. The Hearing Device Coverage Clarification Act (H.R. 7254 / S. 4929) seeks to recognize fully implanted hearing devices as prosthetics, to support eligibility of coverage by Medicare. How You Can Help: 1. Contact your representatives to support this bill. 2. Share this message to raise awareness. Click below for instructions and letter templates to make your voice heard and support this important bill. Together, we can push for a future where people have access to more hearing solutions! https://lnkd.in/gur82f7m #EnvoyMedical #HearingDeviceCoverage #Advocacy
