Earth Observation Data & Service Accessibility

About us

EO4EU is a European Commission funded innovation project unlocking the potential of Earth Observation (EO) data through innovative tools, services, methodologies and approaches. The project promotes pre-operational European services like DestinE and will utilise existing platforms and services in a consolidated manner through the extensive use of disruptive technologies. It is assisting a wide spectrum of users from domain experts to simple citizens unaware of the plethora of data and capabilities offered by EO services, to access and process data and utilise the existing and future offered services.

👉 Use Case 6 - Environmental Pest Monitoring at the ESA EO4Africa Symposium The Desert Locust is one of the most destructive insect species, posing a severe threat to food security in regions where agriculture is already fragile. Early action is essential to prevent locusts from reaching their final developmental stages, where they can form devastating swarms. Our model is designed to serve as an early warning system, offering the critical ability to predict future suitable ecosystems for these pests, allowing for timely and targeted intervention. 🔎 Read the full news on the EO4EU website for a comprehensive understanding of the model: https://lnkd.in/dwRdd_VN

👉 New blog: AI and ML potential on satellite data for EO4EU In recent years, #AI and Machine Learning (#ML) have played a central role in the analysis and management of data from #EO satellites, processing and interpreting large volumes of data, and becoming increasingly indispensable tools to meet the challenges posed by the complexity of the environments in which we live. These technologies automate complex processes and turn large amounts of information into valuable insights. This unlocks the potential of #EO #data, allowing for more efficient and accurate monitoring of the planet, the detection of hidden patterns, and better information management. EO4EU project  comes at an opportune time for its development, because its introduces ML methods for semantic annotation to improve the quality and interpretability of existing and future data and Artificial Intelligent (AI) modules, augmented reality and advanced visualisation. 🔎 Read the full blog about EO4EU technologies here: https://lnkd.in/dWvbv2MB
