Do you want to develop a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) for your organisation? Or are you starting the implementation of a GEP? In the past months, we have discussed the five key areas of intervention (KAI) expected to be included in gender equality plans for research and innovation organisations. In addition to the KAI articles, the recently published handbook of EQUAL4EUROPE can help you implement an equality plan. The EU funded project EQUAL4EUROPE developed good practices to promote gender equality in research and higher education institutions. The comprehensive handbook summarises the main findings of the project after four years of work. It provides a detailed account from the initial identification of problems to the practical implementation of the equality policy. Last week, we wrapped up our EQUAL4EUROPE project with a final conference held in Barcelona! Over the course of two days, we reflected on (and celebrated) the accomplishments and key outcomes of the four-year initiative. I had the chance to share a poster that showcased the concept of the avatar game, which serves as a method for addressing unconscious bias. I'm really excited to be part of the development of this game in the coming year! Thanks to Esade for the great organisation and all our colleagues in the EQUAL4EUROPE project for making it a memorable event.
