We are thrilled to welcome our new HeForShe Champion, Pedro Sánchez, President of the government of Spain to the HeForShe Alliance. In his acceptance speech, President Sanchez highlighted Spain’s legislative advances, including the equal representation law, which aims to ensure that women have equal economic power. A key focus of his address was his commitment to advancing a comprehensive care system in Spain that promotes shared responsibility between men and women.

𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘇, the President of the Government of 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘄𝘂𝗺𝗶 𝗔𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮, President of 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 and 𝗠𝗿. Hugh Evans, Founder and CEO of 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻 in the company of 𝗛.𝗘. #HeForShe Alliance member De Beers Group has made significant progress, with 35% of senior leadership roles now held by women. De Beers has also supported 2,645 women in developing their businesses and enhancing their entrepreneurial skills through the recently rebranded EntreprenHer programme.
