Equip for Equality reposted this
As of July 1st, Chicago has ended the 14(c) subminimum wage for workers with disabilities, a U.S. Department of Labor program which allowed companies to pay workers with disabilities less for the same work. Mayor Brandon Johnson and MOPD Commissioner Arfa held a roundtable discussion with disability advocates and business leaders to celebrate this important step for disability employment on the anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Thanks to all of our partners for making this possible!
