Prejšnji teden je v Nacionalnem parku Tara v Srbiji potekala delavnica z naslovom " Genetska adaptacija ekotipov gamsa (Rupicapra rupicapra L.) na klimatske spremembe in izgubo habitata: Študija primera na ogroženi podvrsti balkanskega gamsa (R. r. balcanica)", kjer sta sodelovala tudi slovenska raziskovalca prof. dr. Boštjan Pokorny in prof. dr. Elena Bužan. Prof. Bužan je predstavila projekt programa Obzorje Evropa – Biodiversity Genomics Europe (BGE) – ter delo skupnosti ERGA, ki se ukvarja z določanjem referenčnih genomov evropskih vrst. Organizatorjem se zahvaljujemo za vabilo in izvedbo delavnice! Last week, a workshop titled “Genetic adaptation of northern chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra L.) ecotypes to climate change and habitat loss: A case study on the endangered subspecies of Balkan chamois (R. r. balcanica)” was held in Tara National Park, Serbia. Slovenian researchers Prof. Dr. Boštjan Pokorny and Prof. Dr. Elena Bužan also participated in the event. Prof. Bužan presented a project under the Horizon Europe programme – Biodiversity Genomics Europe (BGE) – and the work of the ERGA community, which focuses on establishing reference genomes of European species. Time for another brand-new #Biodiversity #Genomics #Europe case study! 👇 This case study, led by the Svardal Lab at the UAntwerp - Department of Biology, builds upon two recently sequenced chromosome-level reference genomes from the #ERGAPilot project. It focuses on the widespread Triplefin Blenny (Tripterygion tripteronotum) and the vulnerable brackish-to-freshwater Adriatic Dwarf Goby (Knipowitschia panizzae). There’s a brand-new #Biodiversity #Genomics #Europe case study! 🧬 In 2023, a high-quality reference genome for Trifolium dubium, widely recognized as the #shamrock, was generated as part of the ERGA Pilot Project.
