Thank you to our own Ashley Stevens and Heather Hunter for representing ESSA at this worthy cause!
Great night at the beautiful Historic Hotel Bethlehem with Heather Hunter supporting Bloom, an organization whose mission is providing critical resources and housing in the Lehigh Valley to survivors of sex trafficking.
The "Student Loan On-Ramp" program is sunsetting. We are incredibly proud to support Slate Belt Rising, a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley! Slate Belt Rising (SBR) is a neighborhood revitalization initiative designed to integrate and capitalize on the substantial assets of the individual Slate Belt communities. By leveraging the unique history, architecture, and culture of each municipality into a regional approach, SBR can then use a Neighborhood Partnership Plan to foster comprehensive community and economic development. While SBR specifically targets the boroughs of Bangor, Wind Gap, Pen Argyl, and Portland, some of their initiatives promote the development and coordination of services for the entire region. Shown here are Brian Fenstermaker from Slate Belt Rising ; Ashley Stevens from ESSA; and Barbara Kochard from Community Action Lehigh Valley.
Everyone deserves a second chance. We are proud to support the Lackawanna County Re-entry Task Force, which hosted its 2nd Chance Festival event last week to fundraise for the successful re-entry of citizens being newly released from prison. The organization provides scholarships to individuals to support their efforts in identifying safe and affordable housing in Lackawanna County. Shown left to right are Stephanie Lefferson, Nicole Gailliard, Jennifer Mylott, and Ashley Stevens.
