External call closes with 130 pre-proposals submitted. EUP AH&W is pleased to announce that 130 pre-proposals were submitted to the recent external funding call on “Supporting the Future of Animal Health and Welfare”. The call, covering three main topics and supported by 30 funders from across the EU, opened on 8th May 2024 and closed on 8th July 2024, attracting significant attention from researchers across Europe. The 130 pre-proposals submitted incorporated 711 organisations (including partners, and associated partners from a total of 32 different countries). The pre-proposals will now be checked for eligibility and then submitted for expert evaluation, with successful candidates being invited to submit a full proposal (opening in November 2024) and bidding into a pot of over € 24 million with EU co-funding. 🌟 Scientific event update 🌟 The first Scientific meeting of the European Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare's took place yesterday and today in Thessaloniki, Greece. Our dedicated scientists came together to exchange ideas and insights on EUPAHW's scientific research activities and overarching strategy, with a strong focus on animal infectious diseases and animal welfare research. The discussions and interactive networking activities emphasised synergies between these research fields and their significant impact on society.
