We are excited to see the release of "Ransom War: How Cyber Crime Became a Threat to National Security", the new book by our co-director, Max Smeets. A crucial read on the evolving threat of cyber crime to national security.
I am excited to announce my new book “Ransom War: How Cyber Crime Became a Threat to National Security” published by Oxford University Press & Hurst Publishers, out in February 2025. Working on this project was incredibly engaging - there was so much to uncover and explore. At the same time, it was sobering to see just how devastating the consequences of ransomware can be for both organizations and individuals. In Ransom War, I examine the evolution of key ransomware groups, revealing how they operate, grow, and adapt. I also explore how we can effectively counter this growing threat. I am grateful to everyone who helped along the way. More details here: https://lnkd.in/dEHiu4hm
