I'm always curious when companies have statistics regarding the effectiveness of their product listed on their website, but then they provide no additional information on WHERE those stats came from. Unfortunately, I see this quite often. What was the sample? How were they recruited? How was the study conducted? Was this a randomized controlled trial? Was it a retrospective report? Were objective assessments used in conjunction with subjective assessments? How were the variables of interest defined in the research context? If your website states that individuals who used your product had an "X" improvement in a specific outcome, you should have a link to that study, or else those stats on their own are at best borderline meaningless, and at worst, misleading. Without that context of the research methodology, there's simply no way to evaluate the validity of any claims you are making. Now, if what I just said makes you feel confused on where to start with research on your product, feel free to reach out! At EvolveWell Research Partners, we are here to help. You don't need to be an expert on quality research practices, because that's what we are here for
