Many thanks to the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA) leadership and staff (Craig E. Burford, Karen Rose, and Allyson Robinson) for inviting the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce's Human Capital Resource Center to present at OESCA's Fall Conference. Earlier today, we engaged with a couple of dozen eager ESC leaders to learn about Engagement Essentials – Actionable Strategies to Retain Top Talent. Our session was focused on building ESC capacity to attract, hire, and support Ohio educators. Katherine Heynoski, Stephen Fujii, pHCLE, and Kimberly Ratcliff, MPA, APR, pHCLE explored strategies for retaining employees, from onboarding through the career continuum. Participants are now returning to their ESCs with strategies to use with their own organizations and member districts. Topics included: 1️⃣ Needs assessment, including determining district needs 2️⃣ Providing customized support; and, 3️⃣ New solutions to ESC problems of practice #OhioEd #EmployeeEngagement #Onboarding
