We are happy to introduce the Quality Standards & Impact Task Force for Los Angeles County, comprised of organizational leaders from the expanded learning sector serving our young people in various capacities. Together, they will work with a shared goal of creating a program framework for excellence that will guide continuous improvement and provide evidence of impact for the expanded learning sector across the county. We are excited about the work they have embarked on and will do to ensure all youth have access to high-quality programming.

We are glad to have more university partners joining us. Thanks for the shout-out Jessica Gladney!
Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the Los Angeles Countywide Network Meeting and Press Conference at the #CaliforniaEndowmentCenter, supporting ExpandLA. This remarkable non-profit is uniting over 200 providers to ensure that all youth in Los Angeles County have access to high-quality #ExpandedLearningOpportunitiesProgram (ELOP). The press conference celebrated #LightsOnAfterschool, highlighting the vital role these programs play in youth development. With California’s transformative $5 billion investment in ELOP, statewide leaders are making strides towards universal access to enriching afterschool and summer programs. Special thanks to guest speakers: CA Attorney General Rob Bonta, Assemblywoman and Chair of the LA County Legislative Delegation Tina McKinnor, LA City Councilmember Monica Rodriguez, and LAUSD Board Member Nick Melvoin for their support. Expanded Learning is crucial to our education system, and National University is proud to support the ongoing professional development of #ELOP staff throughout the state. A huge shout out to #LosAngelesCityHall for joining the movement and lighting up in ExpandLA colors last night! 💡#LightsOnAfterschool #YouthDevelopment #EducationAccessForAll
