#NationalTraumaDay was celebrated at Chippenham Medical Ctr. “We see gunshot wounds, stab wounds, fall accidents, motorcycle accidents, car crashes, fires, pretty much everything you ever hear on the news. Those are our patients. We have one patient, and her chance of survival is actually like 0.003%. And she made it out of the hospital, went home. It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Dr. Rindi Uhlich to Trauma Surgical Critical Care ICU Director at Chippenham Medical Ctr! In this role. Dr. Uhlich will provide administrative and clinical direction for the trauma ICU. She will be working closely with ICC and critical care nursing leadership to improve outcomes, patient experience, and retention.   A Louisiana native, Dr. Uhlich completed medical school at the University of Missouri. She then underwent training in general surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she spent additional time performing funded research under a T32 grant. She subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in surgical critical care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation.   During her tenure here at Chippenham she has excelled in making connections with staff and is an exceptional leader/educator.   We are very excited to see what Dr. Uhlich will do in this role. Employee Spotlight: Neil Grieshop, MD has been part of the Extant Healthcare team since 2022. He serves as Trauma Medical Director at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. Working to care for these acutely ill or injured patients is what drives Dr. Grieshop. He enjoys the challenges of caring for patients who often have complicated problems which need comprehensive teamwork, quick and accurate thinking as well as great depth of medical knowledge.  He enjoys working with the trauma systems to improve care before, during and after hospitalization. The work of Trauma Medical Director improves processes and procedures which benefit all patients at the hospital and the greater Houston community.  Dr. Grieshop loves cooking and baking, exercising, woodworking, animals and spending time with his wife and three sons.  We are lucky to have him as a part of the Extant Healthcare family.  #experiencematters #werehiring Stanley Kurek Jr., D.O., Sheena Nichols Jamie WeaverJason Standifird Todd Zimmerman
