Manifold: Noun: A chamber or pipe with several inlets or outlets to collect or distribute a fluid. 📣 What's the similarity among the manifolds seen in this picture? 📌 They all have taken the benefit of being thermally deburred. 📌 For the desired functionality of a manifold, it must not have any burr or loose particles left inside. Burr getting dislodged, carried away with the fluid 🌊 , and getting caught in the wrong place is a potential safety hazard 😱 . Thermal deburring ensures these risks are eliminated, providing a secure solution. 📌 The fact is, the machining process generates burrs. Machining optimization can minimize this but can only partially eliminate it. The question is, how to get rid of burrs before putting the manifolds to use. 📌 Thermal deburring (TEM) has been a proven solution for decades, instilling confidence in its effectiveness. Regardless of manifold design complexity, TEM is effective for various materials, from zinc, aluminum, and cast iron to steel and stainless steel. 📌 As a leading provider of thermal deburring solutions, Extrude Hone is uniquely positioned to help you improve the quality and performance of your manifolds. Don't hesitate to contact us at https://lnkd.in/dx7f_Q9S for a quick trial and to see the difference our expertise can make. PS: In the picture, you can see manifolds of aluminum, SG iron, steel, and stainless steel. #machining #technology #productivity #engineering #Thermaldeburring #burrs #finishing #fluidpower #hydraulicsystems #manifold #safety #temdeburring

Extrude Hone welcomes the successful launch of Ariane 6. Europe has regained its autonomous access to space. 📌 A few years ago, ArianeGroup adopted abrasive flow machining (AFM) https://lnkd.in/dYXX3PXb technology by acquiring a VECTOR machine. A team headed by an expert in non-conventional finishing methods was set up. 📌 With the Extrude Hone machine, various types of impellers and wheels are polished by AFM. The benefit of AFM technology is that vanes can be polished in the direction of fluid flow. The aim is to achieve a surface enhancement that improves laminar flow and reduces turbulence. Bubbles are the number one enemy of rocket 🚀 engine booster pumps. 📣 We wish Ariane 6 a long career. Extrude Hone is attending Farnborough International Airshow 2024 at booth 1557 to showcase its top-notch finishing solutions to aerospace industry professionals. FIA focuses on commercial aviation, military, and defense aviation. We bring a small but meaningful piece to the technological puzzle in aerospace. Our technologies are at the heart of the engines, pumps, and hydraulic systems. 📣 Extrude Hone offers an array of proven solutions. 📌 Deliver superior pump performance 🚀 . Consider pump housing, impeller housing, and impeller; it's all about improving the laminar flow quality, reducing turbulences while relieving stress, and removing stress risers, specifically at the root of the blades. 📌Deliver superior engine performance, think Blisk, outlet guide vane, stator, and impeller. Our technology improves laminal flow quality and peak efficiency performance 🚁 while relieving stress and removing stress risers. 📌Secure your turbine disk. Smearing removal (after broaching). AFM https://lnkd.in/dYXX3PXb ensures consistent round edges or true radii on different disk geometries. EDM recast layer removal produces a flawless surface, eliminating crack risks ✈ . Stress relief and removal of stress risers improve roundness and edge finish. 📌 Think about "mission critical manifolds" ✈ in a high-productivity, no-downtime world. Use thermal deburring (TEM) to get rid of burrs and particles or Electrochemical Machining (ECM) https://lnkd.in/dPRFu6FR if you want to deburr, radius edges, and polish some areas at the same time 💪 . 📌 Let's secure spool manufacturing finishing in a high-volume environment by leveraging TEM https://lnkd.in/dPDHfn4U . Manual deburring would be tedious and risky, so step up your game and improve quality and productivity while benefiting from the lowest finishing cost 💰 per part possible. 📌 Advanced motion control is critical for some functions. Servo valves are state-of-the-art assemblies, and bushes are among the components that benefit from fine AFM finishing to secure superior edge finishing 🥇 and ensure high-end quality, no micro-burrs left, and a nice micro-radius. 📌 Devices with calibrated orifices allow better control of hydraulic movements. MICROFLOW contributes to delivering the perfect flow-tuning solution for smoother and more well-controlled motion. Small orifices are also present in injection systems, and MICROLFOW will enhance injection channels to provide a superior atomization pattern 🌍 . Meet Extrude Hone's experts at Farnborough International Airshow 2024 Sean Trengove and Vincent Grimm look forward to welcoming you at the Extrude Hone booth to discuss your challenges in the aerospace industry. Kunal Bhonsle, BSIE, EMBA, and Andreas Wolfrat will join them for a few days. #FIA2024 #finishing #manifolds #machining #deburring #eletrochemical

From Automotive 🚗 to Aerospace ✈ , the voice of industry experts today resonates with Mr. Siddhartha Sirdeshpande ‘s inspiring journey in electrochemical machining (ECM). Mr. Siddhartha Sirdeshpande, a seasoned industry leader with solid operational acumen 💪 , currently serves as the VP of Operations at Adani Defence and Aerospace. His previous roles included Chief Operating Officer at Maini Precision Products Limited, Thermocables, and RSB Transmissions and General Manager at UT Limited. His journey from using ECM in automotive to adopting it in aerospace is a testament to his expertise, which will surely enlighten you. 📌 In the post, including the extended article, you will first learn how Mr. Siddhartha Sirdeshpande utilized electrochemical machining (ECM) for demanding components such as fuel injection pumps. ECM delivers remarkable benefits for high-volume parts with stringent requirements, making it a compelling topic to explore. You will understand why ECM is crucial and how it can enhance your processes when working for the largest OEMs in the world. Then came the point when Mr. Siddhartha Sirdeshpande faced even more demanding components that would be too risky and impossible to finish manually. ECM became the obvious solution because these components required more than a simple deburring operation and applying small radii with narrow tolerances in various locations. Thanks to Extrude Hone's experience in aerospace component finishing combined with the local support from Extrude Hone India and Mr. Siddhartha Sirdeshpande ‘s overall expertise in machining and finishing, you will then learn how he led the adoption of ECM as the qualified finishing method for aluminum manifolds. 📌 Cheery on the cake, we also benefit from his customer insights regarding how to approach business in India, including strategies for navigating the regulatory environment and building successful partnerships. Extrude Hone has been in India since 1983, offering equipment, contract shop services, and engineering support out of Bangalore. Since day one, Extrude Hone India has been a key player in the Indian manufacturing industry, providing access to our three technologies: ECM, Thermal Deburring (TEM), and Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM). #finishing #manifolds #machining #deburring #eletrochemical #FIA2024 https://lnkd.in/dpqV9vK6
