How to build a truly unified commerce strategy for your brand in 2025: 1. Invest in unified tech stacks. Look for partners that can connect the dots between physical retail, e-commerce, social commerce, and marketplaces. At Exverus, we use Skai to manage our e-com search efforts for multiple retailers. 2. Follow the customer, not the channel. Structure your marketing plan around audience segments, rather than channels to keep delivering value to your target customers wherever they engage. 3. Use mobile as the connective tissue. Mobile is often the bridge btw physical & digital experiences; it can build discovery, consideration, and conversion at once. 4. Measure across channels. Develop attribution models that reflect the complex, non-linear customer journey. And remember: Transparency and compliance will be critical as privacy regulations evolve and consumer expectations shift. Do you subscribe to the *integrative* or *specialized* school of multicultural marketing? The integrative perspective says that separating multicultural initiatives reinforces divisions and treats diverse audiences as "other"; while the specialized perspective says that different communities have distinct media consumption habits which require targeted approaches. Veteran multicultural advertising experts Vanessa Pinzon and Melissa Andraos weigh in below. https://lnkd.in/gKuWtkzC #marketing #advertising #mediabuying #multicultural #diversity

While it's true that multicultural marketing in 2025 should just be regular marketing, appealing to underserved groups does take some thought and consideration. When brands go wrong and come across as tone-deaf, the results can be catastrophic. "From my 12 years' experience in multicultural advertising, I believe it is critical to have a Total Marketing Approach, which recognizes the importance of supporting different market segments (General Market, Hispanic, Asian, African-American, etc.) under one campaign idea and tailors the creative messaging and media plan for each segment. With the US population and buying power for these segments growing, we need to keep evolving toward Total Market Approaches." - Vanessa Pinzon, Exverus Media Director #multiculturalmarketing #marketingandadvertising #mediabuying #DEIB

Retail media networks are positioning themselves as media companies, blurring the line between RMNs as performance channels and brand channels. Hillary Kupferberg explains to Kimeko McCoy of Digiday: "We’re leveraging the media dollars that are already happening and identifying what elements of those are actually doing the work of shopper [dollars]. We’re not actually asking for incremental investment. It’s investment they’re already making, and they’re just getting more value from it."
