We create and invest in healthcare and technology companies that impact lives all over the world.
About us
Our roots are in one of America’s great entrepreneurial success stories. Fidelity Investments was founded in 1946 and grew from a single mutual fund into one of the largest asset management firms in the world, with over $2 trillion in assets under management. For the last forty years, our venture capital group has had the privilege of backing other great entrepreneurs as they built ground-breaking companies in technology and life sciences, including Atari, MCI, ROLM Corp., Alibaba, Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, and Ultragenyx. Today our funds are larger and more global, but our teams are still small and local. We stay true to our entrepreneurial roots. In the US and Europe, we are F-Prime Capital investing in healthcare (formerly Fidelity Biosciences) and in technology (formerly part of Devonshire Investors). In other geographies, our sister fund is called Eight Roads (formerly Fidelity Growth Partners), with investment teams in London, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Mumbai. Together we bring a world of insight, domain expertise and relationships to support our entrepreneurs. Without the pressure of fundraising from outside investors, we focus all of our time finding and helping great entrepreneurs build important companies.

What a heartwarming and inspiring night 🥹 Last night, I had the privilege of gathering with 12 extraordinary senior women leaders in Fintech and Finance, each at different stages of their careers and personal lives. We shared stories of cross-connections at PayPal, Visa, and Wells Fargo, the joys and challenges of new parenthood, raising video game-loving teenagers, navigating career transitions, and discovering fellow Portuguese speakers. I’m endlessly inspired by each of these incredible women who embrace courage and vulnerability, put themselves out there, and live by the “Just Do It” mentality. As we celebrate the Paris Olympics achieving gender parity, I’m filled with hope that we can one day reach the same milestone in Fintech and Finance. When we support and uplift each other, we all rise together. Thank you for sharing the beautiful night with me and Sarah Lamont! Had lots of fun chatting with my partner David Jegen and my now 2x former colleague Zoey Tang on the Wharton Fintech podcast. We talked all things fintech: a ten-year lookback on where fintech has truly innovated, where fintech is now, and where it's going next. What else would you have added? And what should we touch on for our 2025 report? Thanks for having us Wharton Fintech ! Link to the full episode in the comments.

Excited to share our look back on fintech’s first 6-month of 2024. TLDR: Avg. Fintech Index multiples decrease from 4.8x to 4.4x in Q2. Lack of fintech exits in 2+ years, coupled with broader macro factors (lower spending, sustained high interest rates etc.) are leading to LTM revenue growth slow down, with certain #Fintech sub-sectors impacted more. We are also seeing increased market validation of the neobanking model - with multiple $1B+ revenue & profitable companies that are garnering increased late stage/public investor interest.
