Yesterday, Gov. Jared Polis and Maria De Cambra visited the Town of Buena Vista to celebrate Fading West homes at The Farm, including 48-beds for the Department of Corrections staff. They also toured the 60-unit Midlands apartments, set to be completed in the fall. The Colorado Department of Local Affairs and Governor Polis are committed to affordable housing, endorsing off-site built homes as an innovative solution to address the housing crisis. These public/private/philanthropic partnerships set a model for quickly building high quality, energy-efficient housing in all Western states! Last week, we hosted our first Builder Network Summit. We are spreading the word about the benefits of modular construction and showcasing our factory, homes, and processes to other talented Colorado builders. Attendees spent the day with us touring our factory to learn about our building process, walking through completed homes in our local development and ending the day onsite observing our crew set our one of our newest projects, the Midland Apartments. They learned firsthand from our crew as they demonstrated how to set and stitch modular apartment units. We were honored to be part of the Larkspur Grand opening in Breckenridge, CO this week. In a truly innovative public/private venture, Fading West manufactured 52 apartment units for the Town of Breckenridge, Colorado to develop much needed workforce housing for that area. Summit County, Colorado contributed the land and in cooperation with the Town of Breckenridge, the local leadership gave the greenlight for the project.
