Hey guys, many of you know that I am obsessed with the finding solutions to worsening societal problems. In the last few months, I have been putting some of my thoughts on paper with a goal to elaborate my investment philosophy, thesis, and decisions. Here's what I am seeing in our venture portfolio today: Second chances are a matter of the heart 💜❤💚 Our companies that are graduating i.e., successfully raising As or Bridges, are finding investors who believe in them in spite of current market turbulence, or their metrics not always being where they should be. Gut is deeply embedded in our business. The privilege for a not-so-perfect startup to continue to play is often afforded by an investor's heart -- the subjective decisions to follow their gut and primal cues for tribal affiliation etc. that drive feelings of trust, grace, comfort, patience, etc. It's rarely just "show me the money"...
