November's Map of the Month features Coronet Awards around Fairfield County. What is a Coronet Award? The award honors homeowners, business owners, industry, schools, churches, and public property that have undergone significant improvements in landscaping, restoration, or renovation each year. Any project can be large or small, but it must be visible to a passerby. The public and the Fairfield County Heritage Association members can nominate properties for the award. The Coronet Award committee selects the winners. The winners will receive a plaque and a one-year membership to the Fairfield County Heritage Association. The Auditor's Office received this award in 2021 for the renovation of the Real Estate Assessment Offices at 108 North High Street in Lancaster.
