About us
The Family First Community Center is a warm and inviting new space nestled in the heart of the Cascade and Benson Hill neighborhoods of Renton, Washington. We are honored to serve all-ages in the community with a focus on recreation, education, wellness and togetherness! FFCC is a 21,000+ sq ft LEED Silver building that is in the final stages of construction. It will be completed in March 2023 and we hope to open our doors to the community in June 2023. FFCC will feature a HealthPoint clinic with medical, dental and behavioral health services. This is the first partnership of its kind in Washington blending a community center and health services. The FFCC also has multiple community gathering spaces including one with a demo kitchen that will offer healthy, nutritional cooking classes. There is also a dedicated STEM Makerspace, a dance studio, fitness center and gymnasium located within the facility. The Family First Community Center is a public-private partnership with the City of Renton, Renton School District, HealthPoint and the Family First Community Center Foundation. The Family First Community Center Foundation was created by Super Bowl Champion and philanthropist, Doug Baldwin Jr. If you would like to learn more about the Family First Community Center, connect with us! Our first annual Back to School Celebration was a blast! Thanks to the community's support, we were able to distribute nearly 1,100 backpacks to students. A huge thank you to Comcast, our Community Ambassador, for the generous contribution that helped make this event possible. Here’s to a great start to the school year!

Join FFCC's amazing partners: Vision House, JP Morgan Chase, Northwest Education Access, and Pioneer Human Services for our monthly Community Resource Days. Resources will include housing, financial assistance, workforce development, financial literacy, and college and financial support. Our first one will take place on April 18th from 11am-2pm. Through this five-year partnership, we're committed to providing essential resources to empower and strengthen the greater Renton, Washington community. Located in the Benson Hill and Cascade area, their 21,000 sq. ft. facility is the first all-ages community center in the state to offer traditional programs and recreational spaces, including a gym, fitness center and activities lounge, alongside a health clinic that provides medical, dental and behavioral services. Community members will also be able to participate in art, financial literacy, tutoring, dance, cooking and yoga classes. Our recent Basketball Clinic was a slam dunk! On October 28th, the Seattle Storm, in collaboration with the Washington State Department of Health, had our enthusiastic kids engaged in an exciting day of skill-building and fun, guided by coaches Kiana Peterson, M.S. & Ashley Graham. Also, a big thank you to New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church for providing nourishing snacks to keep our young athletes energized.

On October 18th, the Family First Community Center hosted an action-packed soccer clinic for 24 kids, led by former Seattle Sounders captain, Brad Evans! ⚽️🌟 An inspiring day of skill-building and teamwork that left smiles on everyone's faces. Thank you to New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church for providing the kids with healthy snacks! And a BIG thanks to the RAVE Foundation and Seattle Sounders FC for making this unforgettable experience possible!
