We are pleased to announce that Family Pathways recently welcomed our first post-secondary student intern, Allison Chilson, from University of Minnesota Duluth Consumer Insights and Analytics (CIA) program. Allison joined our Social Enterprise Team under the leadership of the Director of Social Enterprise, Christopher Lenzen, where she dedicated over 200 hours to evaluating customer data and behaviors. Her insights provided valuable support for our strategic decision-making process. "Allison did a wonderful job helping us better understand our shoppers and identifying areas of possible growth and future opportunities. She provided tangible actions that we plan to move forward with in marketing and eCommerce. Thank you Allison!" said Tony Buttacavoli, Executive Director. Family Pathways works alongside people to enhance lives through a continuum of essential services.
About us
Family Pathways was established in 1978 as a 501(c)3 grassroots community organization in Chisago County, providing counseling services to youth and families. Today Family Pathways is a leading human service organization providing a person-centered response to social determinants that affect the health and well-being of residents across east-central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. A deep-rooted history in the community and direct service expertise in multiple program areas, including access to healthy food, domestic violence, sexual assault intervention, and supportive services for older adults- makes Family Pathways unique. Family Pathways’ mission is to work alongside people to enhance lives through a continuum of essential services and, together with the community, champion positive social change. Together with volunteers, donors, partners, and the community at large, neighbors can access stability and hope - contributing to the overall vitality of the region. Programming includes Food Equity and Access Services comprised of nine food shelves and a mobile food truck; Parenting Time Services assuring children have safe contact with family members as they navigate challenging times and transitions. Aging Services engage our aging population through companionship, advocacy, education, and caregiver support. At the same time, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services provide comprehensive assistance to victims of family violence and sexual assault. Each of these programs is supported, in part, through the Family Pathways social enterprise model, which consists of ten thrift stores and a recycling center.

We had such a wonderful time! Thank you for inviting us and allowing us to share some of the amazing work we are doing with the support of the Initiative Foundation.
Thanks to all who joined us on July 24 at Uncommon Loon Brewing Company. What a turnout, Chisago City! We enjoyed visiting with everybody in the room and appreciated the opportunity to highlight the many ways local governments, businesses and nonprofits can plug into our mission to empower people throughout Central Minnesota to build a thriving economy, vibrant communities, and a lasting culture of generosity. Special thanks to Deutschland Meats, an Initiative Foundation lending partner, for catering a delicious lunch, and to our many partners and guest speakers: Chisago County HRA - EDA; Family Pathways; Chisago County; City of Chisago City.
