We are thrilled to announce James Downing as the newest members of The Family Tree Leadership Board! James Downing is the Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Partners, a full-service employee benefits, actuarial, investment, compensation, and HR consulting firm. James has a passion for creative solutions in the health and welfare space, leveraging his 25+ years of experience that drive employee wellness, engagement, and education while at the same time maximizing value for organizations in a way that is sustainable and compliant. Previous to Bolton, he has held several positions of increasing responsibility with T. Rowe Price, Black & Decker Corporation, and McCormick & Company. James has shared his thought leadership in the space serving as a member of Maryland Business Group on Health, as part of client advisory boards with MetLife and Mercer, and in committee seats with the YMCA of Central Maryland and board seats with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hopewell Cancer Support, and Family & Children Services of Central Maryland. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Towson University. He lives in Baltimore County with his wife Rachel and sons. Thank you for your commitment to Maryland’s families!
