Two years ago, local attorney Kirby Farris began experiencing pain in his right hip, which progressively worsened and affected his quality of life. Slip and Fall: 5 Things You Should Do 1️⃣ Make sure you report your fall to a manager and fill out an incident report--request a copy of it! 2️⃣ Take pictures of the area where you fell. If you slipped in a puddle, or if there were no caution signs, etc; take photos of that. A lot of times, the area will get cleaned up or fixed as soon as you leave. 3️⃣ Speaking of photos: Make sure you get plenty of pictures of your injuries— especially bruises or cuts that can fade or look less serious over time. 4️⃣ If you're INJURED injured, get yourself to the ER and get checked out. If you don't seek medical treatment, the insurance company will just argue that you weren't really hurt all that bad. 5️⃣ If you slip and fall—or if you get hurt by someone else's actions—find a lawyer you trust to represent you. Our job is to handle all of the heavy lifting and work your case while you focus on getting better and back up on your feet.
