On October 16, 2024, Father Bill’s & MainSpring (FBMS) welcomed a group from Electroswitch, along with volunteer Larry Loh. They provided a delicious meal featuring fresh salad, pork chops, and warm dinner rolls, nourishing both body and spirit. In our grief, we find solace in the knowledge that Bob’s legacy will live on through the incredible efforts of the Electroswitch team. Their generosity and willingness to serve reflect the spirit of compassion that Bob embodied. Thank you, Electroswitch, for carrying Bob’s torch of hope and service. #NobodyShouldBeHomeless #HelpFBMS #thankyouforyoursupport #volunteersmakeadifference

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, our agency held its all-staff meeting at Stonehill College. These gatherings foster connections across departments and update everyone on our diverse projects. We were privileged to welcome Dennis Carman, President & CEO of United Way of Greater Plymouth County, and Jared Rogers, Director of Resource Development, who delivered an inspiring message about the enduring impact of our work. To add a touch of joy, Dennis led us to a song that briefly transformed our gathering into a heartwarming choir. The program included: ✅ Introduction of the Senior Directors. ✅ Acknowledgment of Tom Washington as our longest-serving employee. ✅ Thanksgiving Update. ✅ HR Update. ✅ Inspiring success stories from our incredible staff. ✅ Closing remarks, agency overall updates, and motivating words from our President and CEO, John Yazwinski, emphasizing our vital mission to prevent and end homelessness. #NobodyShouldBeHomeless #HelpFBMS #WeAreFBMS #leadingtheway #fightingthegoodfight

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of longtime board member Bob Pineau. Bob’s involvement with FBMS began as a volunteer with the Weymouth Rotary in the early 2000s. His commitment to our mission grew over the years, with his company, Electroswitch, and through his and his wife Donna’s generous support of capital projects like the Yawkey Housing Resource Center. Bob's legacy will continue through his leadership and the lasting impact he made on our community. https://lnkd.in/emD2cmvk

We had the pleasure of hosting Norfolk County, MA Sheriff's Office, Patrick W. McDermott, Sheriff, and his team Monday for a tour of our innovative Yawkey Housing Resource Center in Quincy. FBMS President & CEO John Yazwinski had a very productive conversation with Sheriff McDermott about potential partnerships and the overlapping goals and challenges shared by our organizations. #NobodyShouldBeHomeless #HelpFBMS

On October 3, Father Bill’s & MainSpring (FBMS) hosted a lunch for local business leaders at our Yawkey Housing Resource Center (HRC) in Quincy, thanks to the incredible support of Eastern Bank Chair Bob Rivers. Bob, a longtime advocate of FBMS and a key member of our “A Path Home” leadership cabinet has been instrumental in championing our innovative service model. The generous support of Eastern Bank and its foundation, led by Nancy Stager, has been a focal point in advancing our Quincy and Brockton HRCs, as well as our hotel-to-housing conversion in Brockton—the first of its kind in the state. Bob’s heartfelt endorsement as a leading voice for social equity is making a big difference as we work to raise the final $500,000 for our Brockton HRC and move forward with the next phase of our campaign, which will focus on building 150 new permanent supportive housing units in the next few years. A special thank you to Jack Conway & Co., Inc. Chair & CEO Carol Bulman, another member of our leadership cabinet, who joined us on Thursday’s lunch and spoke with pride about her family and the company’s 40+ years of supporting FBMS. Forward-thinking leaders like Bob and Carol are turning our bold mission into reality through their generosity and rallying the private sector to help us end homelessness—one life at a time. #NobodyShouldBeHomeless #HelpFBMS #SupportFBMS
