What a fantastic AI Tinkerers Amsterdam - February Edition meetup! 🎉 Huge thanks to our host, Beyond Republica Campus (www.wearebeyond.work), for providing the perfect space for an evening of hands-on demos, insightful talks, and connecting with the best technical community in the Netherlands. Here’s a recap of the amazing talks we had: Lennert Jansen and Rauf Akdemir (Airweave) Showcased an open-source tool that makes any app searchable for AI agents, diving deep into its architecture and the challenges of building structured data retrieval for AI agents. Darin Verheijke (Featherless AI): Explored the power of open-source with DeepSeek, PodcastLM, and LLM Chess Arena, demonstrating how open models can compete with big tech and provide accessible AI solutions. Cormick Marskamp (orq.ai): Gave a live demo on evaluating LLM output using evaluators like ‘LLM as a judge’, cosine similarity, and JSON schema validators, helping attendees optimise their prompts and model settings. AI Tinkerers is a meetup exclusively for practitioners with technical, machine learning, and entrepreneurial backgrounds who are actively building and working with foundation models, such as large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
