Working to solve hunger in Northeast Florida.
About us
Feeding Northeast Florida helps local children and families, seniors and veterans who struggle to put food on the table. Working with local grocery stores, manufacturers and farms, we rescue high-quality food that would normally be wasted and transform it into meals for those in need. We connect that food to more than 160 partners and programs within our hunger network, like City Rescue Mission, The Sulzbacher Center and The Salvation Army. These partners are able to provide not only food to those in need, but services that can help these families and individuals end the cycle of poverty, including job training or placement, low-cost childcare, SNAP benefits, medical care, affordable housing and counseling. In 2018, Feeding Northeast Florida distributed more than 14 million meals across our eight-county service area. Feeding Northeast Florida is Your Community Food Bank. With your help and support, we can make sure one of the basic needs shared by all of us is met every day.

Next month, we will celebrate 10 years of providing food, resources, and hope to our 270,000+ neighbors facing food insecurity. While we reflect on our impact, we will also look ahead to the future, where the needs of our community, unfortunately, continue to grow. Your organization can support this cause. Visit https://lnkd.in/eQT-KZ8d to learn how to become a sponsor of our 10th Anniversary Gala and fundraiser. Sponsors will enjoy the VIP treatment with access to an exclusive lounge with unique food and drink options. It takes a community to fight this community-wide issue. Thank you for your support!

Mazon is dedicated to advancing policy solutions that confront hunger's root causes, particularly for populations and problems that have been previously overlooked or ignored. We are honored to be included among the statewide partners who received funding support from MAZON’s Emergency Advocacy Fund to build more capacity for our advocacy and community engagement team. Through this support, the team has been able to advocate for safety net programs such as SNAP and WIC. We are proud to work with the Frank V. Oliver, Jr. Endowment at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida to support our agencies in Putnam County, such as Sharing Putnam’s Bounty, Calvary Mission Baptist Church, South Putnam Church, and Bread of Life. Thanks to the endowment’s generosity, the partners will receive much-needed equipment to increase their capacity to serve their communities.
