Today, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced $3 million in funding for FeedMore WNY's critically needed new facility! The funding was approved with bipartisan support from the #ErieCounty Legislature. The County Executive was joined by Deputy County Executive Lisa Chimera and County Legislator Lawrence Dupre to make this incredible announcement that will help alleviate food insecurity in our community today and for future generations. Students in our RISE Logistics free workforce development program had the opportunity to tour & experience the Tops Markets warehouse and distribution center to further connect with the classroom and hands-on instruction they’re receiving at FeedMore WNY! We’re grateful to our employer partners who foster community and opportunity for our RISE students! Our free workforce development program provides job training and wraparound services for people with high barriers to employment. We were recently joined by 75 amazing volunteers from University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York as a part of their staff retreat! This awesome crew packaged nearly 400 pounds of pet food for our AniMeals Program, packed 288 emergency food kits for our neighbors in need, made reusable grocery bags out of unused shirts and more! We are grateful for their time, effort and incredible energy! #ubmgt #ubuffalo #volunteer

More than 30 M&T Bank volunteers joined us at Button Road Blueberry Farm in #CattaraugusCounty to pick more than 600 pounds of blueberries! blueberries were then donated to our partner food pantries as well as our Mobile Food Pantry serving our neighbors in need! We are "berry" thankful for the support of M&T Bank and Button Road Blueberry Farm! 💙

We are so grateful to all of our amazing volunteers who helped make the #ErieCountyFair Opening Day #FoodDrive possible! A huge thank you to our corporate partners at Five Star Bank, Lactalis Group, Moog Inc., T-Mobile and Uniland Development Company whose staff helped collect all the food donations throughout the day! We are busy weighing the incredible amount of donations and we cannot wait until we have the total!

Fair goers who bring 4 or more canned goods to donate on Aug. 7 will receive free admission to the Fair for the day! 🥫🥫🥫🥫 The Opening Day Food Drive is an absolutely vital drive for FeedMore WNY. This year, we are especially grateful for the support as we have been critically low on community food donations throughout this summer. All of the food donated at the Fair will allow FeedMore WNY to replenish the shelves of our partner food pantries and hunger-relief agencies throughout Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.
