To celebrate 35 years of FEKKAI, we wanted to return to our roots, and celebrate our loyal community. One product that holds a special place in my heart is the Brilliant Glossing Styling Crème, a true cult classic and an icon of 90s beauty, which really set the stage for what FEKKAI would become. I needed a product that could deliver lasting shine and softness without weighing the hair down. At the time, I could not find a product that delivered high shine and touchable hold, so I would create my own “hair cocktails,” the most famous being olive oil & styling gel. I finally bottled that concept in 1995, when the Brilliant Gloss Glossing Créme launched. Over the years the formula went through several reconfigurations and in 2018, the consumers noticed a big difference and wanted their “olive oil cream” back. Bringing this product back in 2024, our 35th anniversary, feels like coming full circle. Working again with the original chemist, Ronald Uy, was a vital part of this journey. His understanding of the original formula allowed us to recreate it with 99% accuracy, keeping its signature shine and touchable hold intact. It was important to me to return to the pro-professional quality that delivered luxurious results. To the new generation who hasn’t experienced this product yet, I’m excited for you to discover it. It’s more than just a nod to ‘90s nostalgia—it’s a celebration of timeless beauty. In 1989 I opened my first salon on top of the iconic Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. Six weeks post opening, Kimberly Callet joined my team to lead the salon and come on my brand journey. Kimberly is the epitome of luxury service and “executing with excellence” at the soul of FEKKAI. She has been by my side for 35 years running all of our salons and managing our team of expert stylists and loyal clients around the world. Merci Kimberly – congratulations on this lifetime achievement. Thanking you dedicating your career to FEKKAI.
