TALKING TRASH - Debris is one of the biggest issues after severe weather. FEMA Region 3 met with partners from DE, MD, PA, VA, WV, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Transportation, NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, NRCS (Natural Resources Consultancy & Service) & US Army Corps of Engineers to talk about trash and how we manage it. The partners reviewed lessons learned from previous experiences with post-disaster debris management and discussed capacity building challenges and solutions at the federal, state, and local level.
