We're thrilled to announce a major development for our organization. After extensive discussions and explorations within our region, it became clear that to truly scale and enhance our impact, we needed a strong, strategic partner. That's why we're aligning with Fierce Foundry, a New York-based femtech studio! This partnership marks a significant milestone. While it highlights the gaps in local support for women founders in Middle America (a challenge we're intimately familiar with) it also opens up new avenues and resources that were previously beyond our reach. What does this mean for our mission? Fierce Foundry shares our commitment to empowering women in femtech, and together, we're set to amplify our efforts and reach even greater heights. The journey to find the right support has been long (and at times painful), but it underscores the resilience and dedication that drive us. Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to make a bigger impact. And for those looking to get more involved or stay updated, subscribing to the Fierce Foundry newsletter and following them on LinkedIn is a fantastic way to keep connected. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—your belief in our mission fuels our progress. Here's to new beginnings and powerful collaborations! Sincerely - Elizabeth Prenger, Natalie Shew, and April Roy #femtech #femalefounders #womenintech #womenbuilders #womenshealth #innovation #startups #heartland

Thrilled beyond words to have had the opportunity to pitch our company, WellMiss®, at the MedTech Color Pitch Competition and to be one of the top three winners, securing second place and an incredible $50,000 for our company! A massive thank you to MedTech Color, and to some of the sponsors including: Johnson & Johnson MedTech, NIH SEED, and UCLA for not just sponsoring this empowering event, but also for their unwavering support and commitment to fostering diversity in the MedTech industry. This achievement is a monumental milestone for us, and we are deeply grateful for the recognition and the support from such esteemed organizations. Here's to more innovation, impact, and pushing boundaries together! Special shout out to my fellow founders who took home 1st and 3rd place: Angel Enriquez, Ph.D. and Dara Cook!

Driving Growth for Innovators | Fractional CMO | Human-Centered Strategic Brand and Marketing Leader
Yesterday, the Biden administration, with Jill Biden leading the charge, declared a $100 million investment in women's health through the Advanced Research Projects for Health. Why should everyone care about this investment? Conditions that hit women harder than men often get the short end of the research and funding stick. And you know what that leads to? Long-term disparities in our quality of life. Bonus: These interactive charts really show you why.

In 2023, women emerged as trailblazers in the entrepreneurial landscape, with 58,000 new businesses taking flight. 💼 According to Yelp, these fearless leaders shattered stereotypes, with nearly half venturing into the hotel and travel sector. Remarkably, it marked the first year women surpassed the beauty industry in starting businesses in the home service sectors like carpentry and masonry. Let this be a testament to the diverse and dynamic spirit of women in business. Your endeavors are not just creating ventures but reshaping industries. 💪💼 As we navigate uncharted territories, remember that your unique journey contributes to a powerful narrative of growth, resilience, and breaking barriers. Here's to the women making waves and leaving an indelible mark on the business world! ✨ #WomensGrowthCollab #WomenInBusiness #Trailblazers #EntrepreneurialSpirit

Big day seeing Nature cover this topic. As a stage IV Endo sufferer, I am deeply passionate about advancing science and treatment for this painful, disruptive disease. #endometriosis

Surge in endometriosis research after decades of underfunding could herald new era for women's health. Author Clare Watson states that 'advances in #organoids and the role of the #microbiome and #diet are leading to new #diagnostics and #treatments for #endometriosis, motivating a precision health approach to this long-neglected disease.' Source: https://lnkd.in/dSG2txJP. FEMaLe project is particularly proud to lead the latter through the utilisation of 'Lucy App', led by our WP5 dream team (Attila Bokor, Dora Balogh, Norbert Sziráczki, Adrienn Salamon, etc.). Users enter details about their menstrual cycle, health, medical history, what they eat, how they live, and any pain they feel. By connecting this information with patients' records defining diagnoses, healthcare usage, and using state-of-the-art machine learning methods, an 'Endometriosis Risk Score' has been created for each and every patient. This way, symptoms and their seriousness level is associated with dietary habits. Moreover, we are very please to experience how a renowned researcher as Hugo Vankelecom and his team, supported by a substantial grant from the BioInnovation Institute (BII) in Copenhagen, with the help of KU Leuven Research & Development, in the CurE-me (CURing EndoMEtriosis) project will explore new and better medicines, based on unique endometriosis organoid models. This 3-year incubation project is aimed at leading to a spin-off with IP remaining at KU Leuven. BII was also co-signatories for the 'Redesigning healthcare with women in mind' open letter launched at the World Annual Meeting in Davos. Led by FEMaLe project adviser Oriana Kraft and the FemTechnology Summit and Kearney, the open letter is a Call-to-Action to address the many disadvantages women face in today's global healthcare system, leaving them chronically misunderstood, mistreated, and misdiagnosed. Areas with high unmet needs and vast commercial potential, which is supported by World Economic Forum's 'Insights Report on Closing the Women's Health Gap', stating that "investments addressing the women’s health gap could potentially boost the global economy by $1 trillion annually by 2040." #female #letsmakelifebetter #1in10 #fempowerment #findingendometriosis #femtech #endometriosisawareness #womenshealth Lone Hummelshoj Dorte Rytter Mette Nyegaard Krina Zondervan Camilla Fabricius Stinus Lindgreen Nilufer Rahmioglu Dmitrijs Bļizņuks Sebastiaan Meijer Jayanth Raghothama Gert L.
