The Academy at the National Head Start Association, in partnership with FHSA, is offering the Executive Leadership Credential beginning in January 2025! This year-long program is tailored for experienced Head Start and Early Start directors, offering 40 professional development hours through live online sessions, plus in-person events at NHSA's Winter Leadership Institute and summer summit. Topics include innovative leadership, diversity and inclusion, and strategic decision-making. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to become a member of NHSA's Executive Leadership Council, providing guidance on critical issues. As we continue to celebrate Head Start Awareness Month, the House Appropriations Committee has proposed a fiscal year 2025 spending bill that includes a modest $25 million increase for Head Start. “While better than expected, this amount is insufficient for our needs,” says the National Head Start Association.
