First Priority Credit Union is a Boston, Massachusetts based credit union that provides banking products and services.
About us
First Priority Credit Union is a Massachusetts state-chartered credit union that began providing banking products and services to members in 1924. FPCU membership originally included United States Postal Employees, retirees and their family, but over the years has grown to include those that live or work in Suffolk and Essex Counties as well as certain cities and towns in Middlesex and Norfolk Counties. First Priority Credit Union has two convenient branches located at Fort Point Station in Boston, and on Swift Street in East Boston and serves members from near and far. Once you become a member of First Priority Credit Union, you are welcome to remain a member even if the eligibility requirement that made membership possible changes (for example, if you were to move away). First Priority Credit Union offers you the financial products you’d expect from a larger institution; the cost savings that banking with a credit union provides; and the comfort that comes when you bank with an institution that is a proud member of your community!

Building Wealth: Building wealth requires careful planning. Here are eight tips: 1. Make a financial plan that identifies your goals and vision. 2. Develop a budget and stick to it. 3. Build an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses. 4. Automate your savings; by automatically deducting bills and savings you can avoid the temptation of spending over saving. 5. Manage your debt and create a plan for repayment. 6. Max out your retirement savings every year. 7. Invest in a diversified portfolio to better manage the ups and downs of the market. 8. Make the most of your earnings; save at least half of every raise you receive to position yourself for a secure retirement.
