Devin O'Day, Chris Catren, and I had a great time presenting at the Public Agency Risk Management Association Sacramento Chapter meeting sharing ways to reduce risk and improve outcomes for agencies employing first responders. It's great seeing a shift from the old adversarial workers' comp model of funding litigation to funding proactive programs that keep workers in the jobs they love with the support needed to thrive. It's also great getting a workout in on the road, maintaining my wellness program with some positive motivation in the gym. Peer Supporters are the backbone of wellness in their agencies. They are a trusted resource amongst peers.
