Exciting surprise at #FLSGreen today! 📚✨ International bestselling author, Ann Patchett @parnassusbooks, and renowned Fancy Nancy illustrator, Robin Preiss Glasser @robinglasser, visited our K-2 students at Green! They captivated our young scholars with a reading of their new book, "The Verts," exploring the world of introverts and extroverts. The duo shared their creative process, from inspiration to collaboration, giving students a fascinating glimpse into book creation. On Wednesday, September 18th, we had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of the new Early Elementary Center at Langston Hughes Academy. Greetings #FirstLine friends and families! On Wednesday, September 18, we celebrated a grand event. The official opening ceremony for our new early elementary learning center! LHA and FirstLine thank you for your continuous support each step of the way. #FirstLine is happy to announce two new positions that will be vital to the success of our schools as we work to build adult culture across the network. Introducing our Chief Human Resources Officer, Brittney Richardson, and Chief People Officer, Scott Shirey! 🤩 We have selected the former Executive Director of Leadership Development at FirstLine, Scott Shirey, to lead as Chief People Officer. In this role, Scott will be responsible for strengthening our staff retention and recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and career pathways. We are also thrilled to announce we have hired Brittney Richardson as our Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, Brittney will be responsible for employee relations, benefits management, and human resources compliance and policy.
