As a steadfast supporter of communities across Florida and the nation, Wells Fargo recently made a significant impact on Hurricane Helene relief efforts by donating more than $1 million, including a significant donation to Volunteer Florida, providing crucial assistance across the southeastern United States. Their generous commitment to supporting community recovery demonstrates the powerful role financial institutions play in times of crisis. We are honored to have Wells Fargo as a valued FBA member and the leadership of FBA Chairman Derek Jones, the bank’s Gulf Coast Region Executive. Wells Fargo’s dedication to serving customers and communities aligns with our mission to promote and support a thriving banking industry. We’d also like to thank: - TD for their $500,000 contribution to support local relief efforts in parts of Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina following Hurricane Helene - FBA Associate Member IntraFi for their donations totaling $50,000 to Volunteer Florida, the North Carolina Bankers Association Hurricane Relief Fund, and the Tennessee Bankers Association Disaster Relief Fund within The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee - PNC Foundation for their $1 million commitment to disaster relief and recovery efforts in areas of Florida and North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene Many thanks to all for making a meaningful difference when it's needed most! As Hurricane Milton approaches, we urge everyone to stay safe and take all necessary precautions to protect themselves and their communities. The FBA's BSA/AML Symposium, originally scheduled for October 8-10, 2024, at the Orlando Lake Mary Marriott, has been postponed due to approaching Tropical Storm Milton, which is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane. The safety and well-being of our attendees, speakers, and staff are our top priority. We are actively working on rescheduling the symposium and will communicate the new dates and related information as soon as all arrangements are confirmed.
