The smart calendar just got smarter! You can now drag & drop tasks on the calendar while keeping them auto-scheduled. ➡️ If you drag tasks to a later time or date, you'll now have the option to postpone it until that date, meaning FlowSavvy will still auto-reschedule the task but won't schedule it earlier than the day you postpone it to. ⬅️ If you drag tasks to an earlier date, you'll have the option "Try to schedule by this date". Try it out and let us know what you think! #productivitytips #taskmanagement

This one's for students that want to have the easiest school year of their life. I just uploaded a new video that includes a step-by-step guide on how to use FlowSavvy to automatically schedule all of your assignments, projects, and tasks so you always know what to do next and when you need to do each task in order to get everything done by its due date. FlowSavvy isn't just for students, but Jacob Barnes and I did build it for ourselves when we were students, and it has always worked extraordinarily well for that use-case. Please help spread the word by liking and sharing this post/video so students everywhere can stop stressing about deadlines and managing their schedules manually! https://lnkd.in/gGzuEeGW

One of our favorite parts of building FlowSavvy is the conversations we're able to have with people about what's working and what's not. We're then able to iterate on that feedback to create new features, improve existing features, and ultimately better help people. If you have been one of these 2500 conversations, thank you!

To me, calendaring/time-blocking is just data visualization, which helps you understand your time, which then lets you make better decisions with it. Some examples of what that looks like: -- Example 1: Knowing when to start -- Understanding: Based on my current workload, I need to start 17 days before this big deadline in order to fit in the time this project needs ⬇️ Decision: Start 17 days before ⬇️ Impact: No last minute cramming, less stress, work-life boundaries protected -- Example 2: Using time intentionally -- Understanding: I have 12 hours of free time scattered throughout my calendar this week. ⬇️ Decision: I'll use that time for my passion project, learning a new language, building relationships, etc. ⬇️ Impact: Time used more intentionally, greater sense of progress/achievement -- Example 3: Avoiding over-commitment -- Understanding: I only have 2 hours of wiggle room this week ⬇️ Decision: Turn down additional commitments ⬇️ Impact: Less stress, avoid burnout To-do lists are the raw data that helps you get organized, but calendars are the visualization you need to make better decisions with your time

What does the "rocks in the jar" analogy look like in practice? Put "you" time (the things you need to do to stay balanced/sane) in your calendar first. Then, as you fill the calendar with other commitments, you know what your realistic limits are, instead of trying to "make time" for the important things later. #timeblocking #productivity

Automatic scheduling is now even easier with "auto-ignored" tasks! If you have lots of important tasks to manage and still want those "nice-to-have" habits scheduled when there's time, FlowSavvy makes scheduling all of this a breeze. #timeblockingtips #productivitytips
