#FluxxCon24 was great, but don't just take our word for it...

It’s been a week; here’s my overdue #FluxxCon24 debrief: My highlights: The tools: • Power Automate, Webhooks, v3 API - automate and integrate ALL DAY. This is how we modernize. • The Fluxx (Admin) Chrome Extension (by the legendary Stephen Brandon). It has quite literally supercharged my configuration work over the last couple of months • Fluxx Ai on AWS - The keyword is “Human-in-the-loop”. I’m looking forward to more. • XLSX everywhere The experiences: • Talking Ai Governance with Chantal and Kerrin, and getting stealth-quoted on a slide (who let me on the stage with these two?!?!) #ResponsibleAI • Helping introduce the aforementioned chrome extension during back-to-back sessions with Stephen, and the literal oohs and aahhs extracted from a room full of Fluxx Admins (I hope we caught that on audio) • Visiting the Mile High city and climbing an extra 1/4 mile up in the centerfield bleachers of Coors Field to catch a game among 60+ friends and colleagues (arriving via e-scooter, naturally) The people: • My Bainum team members in person! That’s rare for me. • OG Fluxx Connect: Kristy, Kerrin, Eric, Fintan, Thomas, Jess, Mark. It’s been a decade! • Meeting up with my TAG Emerging Leader, Ariel Quinones. • So many past and present clients and collaborators that I haven’t ever met in person! I was asked by a number of colleagues at FluxxCon about my sector memberships, my conference schedule, and general community in Philanthropy Tech. It’s like this: • PEAK = my customers; where I apply my work • TAG = my people; where I get good at what I do • FLUXX = my family; where I got my start No shade on either of them, but FluxxCon was a combination of the other two conferences with the added twist of being a bit like a homecoming for me. And I’ll just roll right past the necessary PTSD that comes with “family” and just say this was an impressive conference. This group REALLY wanted to be there and participate, and there was something for everyone. It was impressive. Let’s keep that momentum going!
