A Zipline study reveals that a one-minute reduction in quoted delivery time results in a 1% increase in conversion rates. Speed is everything when customers are hungry. With half of consumers blaming restaurants—not the app or driver—for late deliveries, getting delivery right is more important than ever. Read our analysis of the top challenges restaurants face in meeting customer expectations and how one emerging technology, drone delivery, can provide the answers you've been looking for. We’ve spent years designing our new drone platform for speed, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. Plus a touch of magic you have to see to believe. https://lnkd.in/g4qAVF7D

Transforming the way goods move
About us
Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information. Our journey to building the world's largest autonomous logistics network was not without its hurdles. Failure often seemed more likely than success—which happens all too often in global health, where even well-funded innovations can falter by stopping too early, ignoring reality, or failing to scale. In this Stanford Social Innovation Review article written with Christian Seelos and Johanna Mair, we reflect on the past decade of building and driving adoption of new technology, against some pretty significant odds. We hope our experience—fueled by our “stubborn fanaticism” and unwillingness to fail—can offer lessons to help others bring new solutions to market effectively. https://bit.ly/4hxXqNA

Before working on Zipline's autonomous delivery system, our head of systems engineering Eric Watson designed satellites. His team combines best practices from aerospace, automotive, and consumer electronics to ensure our technology is safe and reliable before we launch in the U.S. later this year. We had a ton of great questions at our P2 unveiling event last month—but not enough time to answer them all. So, we’re bringing back our CTO and co-founder, Keenan Wyrobek, for a follow-up. This Wednesday Oct. 16 at 1:30 pm PT/4:30 pm ET, Keenan will go live here on LinkedIn and on X to answer questions about our system, how drone delivery works, and how we're getting ready to scale home delivery in the U.S.
