Before anyone says anything about how it cannot work in high currents and low visibility environments - yes, this is not an answer to all your underwater inspection needs, but it does an excellent job in confined cluttered flooded environments with reasonable visibility - of which there are many around the world to take advantage of this technology already today. The wireless flyout works in conjuncture with a tethered relay that can hover in a safe place while the flyout runs around poles, pipes, cables and other "furniture" in water. Our proprietary wireless high-speed communication system has a range that extends 3x of the visible distance underwater. We've just wrapped up the Oceanology International in London and what a blast that was! We officially launched and premiered our portable wireless inspection robot EXRAY. It disrupts inspections of submerged assets in complex and cluttered confined flooded environments, making asset integrity assurance safer, faster and more reliable. EXRAY also demonstrates the art of possible offshore - detaching the pilot from an underwater inspection or intervention vehicle and enabling control and video streaming remotely - hundreds or even thousands miles away. This technology is a critical enabler of the autonomous subsea asset monitoring and inspection, driving significant reductions in cost and CO2 emissions associated with these activities today.
