Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP) awarded FMC a 2024 Environmental Stewardship Award for a wastewater treatment project at our Mobile, Alabama manufacturing facility. The project will allow two-thirds of the site’s diamides process water to be treated at its on-site wastewater treatment plant, diverting 12 million pounds of waste from disposal and reducing GHG emissions by 575 metric tons of CO2 equivalents annually. “This initiative was crucial for FMC and the Mobile Site to reach our sustainability goals. We aimed to reduce hazardous waste generation by 66% and cut emissions by 575 metric tons per year – and we’re doing it,” said Brad West, EHS manager. At this year’s B20 Brasil Summit in São Paulo, with Business at OECD (BIAC), global leaders gathered to discuss “Inclusive Growth for a Sustainable Future.” Renato Guimarães, FMC vice president and president of Latin America, shared his insights on the transformative role of agritech at the “Digital Farming: Enhancing Sustainability and Regenerative Agriculture” event.
