We were so blessed by everyone who joined us for our Concert of Prayer on Sunday! It was a privilege to gather with brothers and sisters in Christ from across the city. We prayed for our civic leaders, for unity in the Church, the next generation, pastors, and more. A special thank you to our host church, Mt. Olivet Baptist, for leading us in vibrant, joy-filled worship. We're already looking forward to 2025!

We're so grateful for the pastors of our city! Each year, we spend time praying over them at our Concert of Prayer. Here, our executive director Nick Nye prays at our 2022 Concert of Prayer at Gospel Lighthouse Church. Join us this Sunday at 6pm at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church for this year's Concert of Prayer! We'll gather as one unified body of Christ to pray over our pastors, civic leaders, college students, and more! Can't wait to see you there!

Join us! This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Concert of Prayer taking place this Sunday, Sept 29 from 6:00-7:30 pm at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main St. Columbus, OH 43215. RSVP via Linktree: https://lnkd.in/gBYV4VZF At the Concert of Prayer, we join with congregations from all across Columbus to intercede for our city. This special service of united prayer includes scripture reading in multiple languages, worship, small group prayer, and prayer led by pastors and leaders in our communities. Since 2014, these annual gatherings have brought together over 350 congregations and countless leaders from diverse spheres, ethnicities, and denominations. As we intercede together for the flourishing peace of central Ohio, we echo Jesus’ prayer in John 17:20-23 to make us one so the world will know He is Lord. The name “Concert of Prayer” is a term coined by Johnathan Edwards in the 1700s that described the prayer meetings that sparked the First Great Awakening in our nation. He defined these gatherings as “A visible expression of unity and explicit agreement for revival and advancement of the Kingdom of God.” As we pray together in one accord, we eagerly await the fruit of our prayers and celebrate our rich legacy of united prayer and worship! Please help spread the word to those in your networks. We hope to see you there! For Christ and His Kingdom!

“For the past few years, something has been developing in the Northwest section of Columbus inside 270. A collaborative initiative has developed out of relationships between churches of differing denominations and expressions. Pastors and leaders have been consistently curating sincere friendships which have served as the foundational component for the transformation of their neighborhoods. These churches have begun to ask the question, “If our church burned down today, would the community around us notice?” Through this foundation of friendships, self-reflection, and intentional effort, Love Our City Columbus was birthed.” ‘The Northwest Network’s “Love Our City” Initiative’ **Finish the post: https://lnkd.in/gh7NW3n9

We recently hosted a little summer ‘soiree’ for network #leaders so they could build and strengthen relationships, hear how the Spirit is at work around Greater #Columbus through the work the #LORD has called them to, and explore ways they might collaborate for Kingdom good around the region. Only about half could attend but we look forward to many more of these gatherings In the days ahead!
