Saw this in a coffee shop in Ohio today. I also listened to a sermon earlier this week taken from Luke 12:13-34. Jesus is interrupted by a guy upset with his brother over the distribution of their father’s estate. I’ve witnessed several similar disputes in my lifetime. I’ve recently read about two affluent siblings embroiled in intense litigation with each other over their respective inheritance. That is not the way. In fact, Jesus reply to the upset brother hints at a lordship crisis in the brother’s life, and Jesus cautions the brother and the crowd: “And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”” Luke 12:15 ESV https://lnkd.in/e77u8gPD This simple sign conveys the way.
